Located in Zhengzhou, China, The Future Preface is a testament to the city's transformation from farmland to a metropolis of high-rise buildings. Wang's design philosophy is rooted in the belief that the history of a city is the story of its people. This 2288 square meter exhibition center is a tribute to the generations who have contributed to the city's prosperity.

The Future Preface stands out for its innovative use of architectural lines to divide the indoor space into three dimensions: past, present, and future. This approach creates a closed-loop immersive experience that showcases the city's nostalgic glory while looking forward to a better life. The design's unique properties lie in its ability to connect generations through shared urban memories.

One of the challenges faced during the project was its location in a village. The design team had to ensure that the structure was distinct from its surroundings while maintaining a harmonious coexistence with the local community. The project also had to cater to different functional needs, serving as a property developer's showcase initially and transitioning into a public building in the future.

The Future Preface was recognized with a Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023.
