The inspiration behind the design of Obsidian RBST comes from the symbolism of obsidian stone. Obsidian, known for its purity and strength, has been used by humans for thousands of years. In this design, the black color and metallic appearance of obsidian are incorporated to create a visually appealing and robust doorbell panel.

One of the key features of Obsidian RBST is its modular architecture. The camera, screen, speakers and microphone, keypad, and card reader are each separate functioning modules that can be customized and used according to the specific needs of the project. The aluminum extrusion profile creates the body of the product, providing durability and a simple yet sophisticated look.

The use of injection plastic and extrusion aluminum in the manufacturing process ensures the high quality and durability of Obsidian RBST. The product is designed to withstand external factors and impacts, making it suitable for various environments, from crowded business centers to residential buildings.

Obsidian RBST offers a range of functionalities, including video conversation, intercom, and access control. The camera module captures the image of the person using the doorbell panel and sends it to the building's control unit. The display module allows users to select and confirm the desired flat using the digital display and selection buttons. The speaker and microphone module enables voice calls, while the keypad module allows for password access or dialing the desired flat number. The card reader module provides access to the building for card holders.

With its LED wall washers lighting on both sides, Obsidian RBST ensures trouble-free operation even in low-light situations. The elegant design and solid construction make it suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor environments, including luxury buildings.

The Obsidian RBST project was started in July 2011 and completed in February 2012 in Ankara, Turkey. It is currently produced by NETELSAN Inc. in their own factory. The design has received recognition and acclaim, winning the Silver A' Design Award in the Building Materials and Construction Components Design category in 2012. This award recognizes the outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill demonstrated by Obsidian RBST.
