The inspiration for the Alphard Duo Golf Cart came from the designers' own experiences as golfers. They recognized the need for a more compact and convenient solution for transporting golf equipment. The challenge was to create a design that combined compactness with ease of use, without compromising on either aspect.

The Alphard Duo Golf Cart stands out for its unique properties. It is the first combined golf bag and push cart that is quick and easy to set up, and functionally practical. It redefines compactness and convenience for golfers. One of its unique features is the detachable skin, allowing users to change the color or look of the cart easily.

The Duo Cart is made from a combination of aluminum extrusions, plastic parts, steel parts, and fabric. It is lightweight, being 25% lighter than having a push cart and golf bag separately. It is also the first golf push cart to integrate a gas spring in the folding mechanism. The cart's folded dimension is 1092mm x 330mm x 470mm (L x W x H), and it weighs 8.5kg.

The innovative integration of the golf bag and push cart offers many benefits. It is quick and easy to set up, incredibly compact, and offers multiple looks through its interchangeable skin. With 4 large wheels and a low center of gravity, the cart has outstanding stability and can maneuver tough terrains with ease.

The project started in January 2010 and was debuted at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, USA. The design research was mainly based on user feedback of current market offerings. The biggest challenge was to make the folding mechanism simple. After hundreds of trials, the designers came up with a glide folding mechanism that requires only two actions to change the cart from a folded orientation to a ready to play orientation.

The Alphard Duo Golf Cart has been recognized for its innovative design, winning the Golden A' Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design Award in 2013. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
