The Rotation Saw project was initiated in April 2013 at Designsori Academy in South Korea and was completed in June 2013. The design team, led by Hoyoung Lee, collaborated closely to overcome various creative, technical, and research challenges. Through extensive research and interviews with workers in logging places, the team gained valuable insights into the safety issues surrounding power chainsaws.
