Design Name: Pleasure

The Pleasure design, created by Yu Wen Chiu, is a captivating and unique restaurant space that aims to provide a sense of relaxation and connection with nature. Inspired by the concept of "Yuan-King," which means "Back to Nature" in Chinese, the design incorporates elements that allow visitors to feel at ease and enjoy the soothing sounds of nature.

What sets the Pleasure design apart is its extension of ceiling shapes and floor expanses, which create a consistent contour undulation throughout the space. This undulation reflects the peaks and valleys of life, symbolizing the force of action that encompasses our experiences. As visitors move through the restaurant, they are surrounded by a layered ambience that evokes images of beauty and serenity.

The design also emphasizes fluidity and transparency. While the space is divided into various compartments, the clever arrangement ensures privacy while maintaining an overall sense of openness. The use of wood skin, grey glass, and artificial stone adds to the aesthetic appeal and creates a harmonious atmosphere.

With its innovative realization technology, the Pleasure design showcases the seamless integration of different materials and elements. The space covers approximately 130 square meters and was completed between August and November 2012.

Notably, the Pleasure design has been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award. It was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2014. This accolade is a testament to the design's outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence.
