Slavic Seasons: A Transformative Jewelry Design

Anna Dmitrieva's Award-Winning Ring and Pendant Inspired by Slavic Culture

Anna Dmitrieva's Slavic Seasons is a unique jewelry design that merges tradition and innovation. This transformative ring and pendant, inspired by Slavic culture, is a testament to Dmitrieva's creative genius and craftsmanship.

The Slavic Seasons design is characterized by three interchangeable elements, each representing a different layer of Slavic culture. The first element, adorned with blue and black stones, is a nod to traditional folk art and embroidery. The second element, with a leaf pattern, is reminiscent of luxurious Pavlovsky Posad shawls and traditional Slavic headdresses. The third element, with an abstract decor, is inspired by renowned masters of Russian avant-garde such as Wassily Kandinsky, Kazimir Malevich, and Marc Chagall.

What sets Slavic Seasons apart from other jewelry designs is its transformative nature. The central part of the ring can be converted into a pendant or a bracelet, allowing the wearer to change the jewelry's appearance based on their mood or the occasion. This is made possible by a specially designed clasp located on both sides of the ring's shank.

The Slavic Seasons collection is produced using gold casting and handmade technology. The ring is crafted from 14K white, yellow, and rose gold, with black plated finishing. It is adorned with SWAROVSKI gems, including natural colorless topaz, Jungle Topaz, Topaz Paraiba, Topaz Blazing Red, and Natural Black Spinel. The weight of the rings varies between 18-23 grams, with a width and length ranging from 20-38 mm.

The creation of the Slavic Seasons design was not without its challenges. The most significant difficulty was designing a comfortable and unobtrusive clasp. Combining three different styles into a single ring was also a challenge. However, these hurdles were overcome, resulting in a versatile piece of jewelry that offers its wearer a new look every day.

Anna Dmitrieva's Slavic Seasons design started in April 2014 in Kiev and was completed in June 2014. Dmitrieva worked with a team of skilled artisans, including goldsmith Didenko Denis and setters Slavuta Bogdan and Ilenok Alexandr, to bring her vision to life. The design was recognized for its innovation and excellence, winning the Golden A' Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design Award in 2015.

In conclusion, Anna Dmitrieva's Slavic Seasons is a unique jewelry design that beautifully marries tradition and innovation. Its transformative nature, coupled with its deep cultural roots, makes it a truly remarkable piece of fine jewelry. This design not only showcases Dmitrieva's creative prowess but also sets a new standard in the world of luxury jewelry.
