Toothbat - WOW is a patented dental floss holder designed by Gordon W.K. Lam & Wilma F.L. Yuen. What sets Toothbat apart from other dental floss holders is its unique curved four-arm head design. This design builds up a 3-directional floss structure, allowing it to reach every tooth with ease. The handle of Toothbat is equipped with "Twister technology," a unidirectional rotation mechanism that creates the ultimate tension of the floss structure. This innovative feature ensures the removal of food debris and plaques even better than hand flossing, surpassing any other similar product on the market.

The curved handle of Toothbat is designed with streamline grooves, enhancing the force of grip and controllability. This ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold and easy to maneuver during flossing.

Toothbat - WOW is made using 3D design software and printing technology. Through numerous trials, the designers were able to determine the best size and angle for the Toothbat head, ensuring optimal reach and cleaning efficiency for every tooth. The tension of the floss is a key factor in plaque removal, which is why the "Twister technology" was developed. This bi-directional rotation mechanism creates the ultimate tension that no other similar product can achieve. The material used for the Toothbat head is "Tritan Copolyester," which is FDA and CE certified, ensuring both safety and durability.

The Toothbat - WOW dental floss holder measures 28mm x 22mm x 150mm, making it compact and easy to carry around.

Using Toothbat - WOW is simple. First, turn the handle in alignment with the head. Then, tie the floss to the bullen of the handle and lay the floss into the four-arm head. Tie the floss to the bullen again and turn the handle to control the desired tension of the floss. The top floss is used to clean all molars, while the side floss is used for the other teeth.

The Toothbat - WOW project started in May 2014 in Hong Kong and was completed in May 2015. The designers were inspired to create this innovative dental floss holder due to the poor sense of oral care in Asia, particularly in Hong Kong. With over 90% of adults in Hong Kong suffering from different levels of periodontal diseases, the designers recognized the need for an effective and easy-to-use dental flossing solution. Toothbat - WOW is designed to destruct and remove plaque effectively, contributing to personal health and overall societal well-being.

The biggest challenge faced by the designers was changing people's mindset and habits regarding flossing. The perception that flossing is difficult and troublesome needed to be overcome. Toothbat - WOW was designed to convince the public that flossing can be an incredibly easy and pleasant experience.

Toothbat - WOW has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Beauty, Personal Care, and Cosmetic Products Design category in 2016. This prestigious award recognizes the outstanding expertise and innovation demonstrated by Toothbat - WOW. The design showcases remarkable technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
