The Transition center table is made using a combination of advanced technologies and sustainable materials. The aluminum structural components are precision-milled using CNC machines, ensuring durability and precision. The lower aluminum pull-out tray is water-jet cut and formed, adding a touch of elegance to the design. The tabletop is made of Richlite, a sustainable composite material made of recycled paper-based fiber and water-based phenolic resin. This material is not only eco-friendly but also scratch, stain, and heat resistant, making it perfect for everyday use.

The Transition center table measures 1070 mm in width, 1170 mm in depth, and 380 mm in height, making it suitable for a variety of spaces and settings.

Transition and Bend were exhibited at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, as part of the spring term graduate show. The project started in September 2014 and was completed in April 2015, after months of research, design, prototyping, and exhibition planning. The Transition center table is the result of Marc Scimé's master's thesis titled Bend & Transition, which explored the changing workplace and lifestyle trends and their impact on architecture and furniture design.

The Transition center table has received recognition for its innovative design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2016. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life.
