Patroa: A Sophisticated Lounge Chair and Ottoman

The inspiration behind the Patroa design was to create a friendly, simple, and yet sophisticated product that can seamlessly fit into any modern setting. The name itself adds a touch of humor and meaning to the design. In Portuguese, "Patroa" translates to "housewife" or "the boss," symbolizing how this chair truly owns the space it occupies.

What sets the Patroa lounge chair and ottoman apart from others is its combination of comfort and sophistication. The metal calender method was used to bring this design to life, resulting in a clean and sleek appearance. The chair is finished with a high-quality polyester painting, adding a touch of elegance to its overall aesthetic. The perfect blend of leather and metal, along with the molded foam base for the leather finish, creates a truly unique and visually appealing piece.

The Patroa lounge chair and ottoman are meticulously crafted using metal calendering technology, polyester painting, and leather with foam. The result is a durable and stylish piece of furniture that is sure to impress.

Designed by André Gurgel and Felipe Bezerra, the Patroa lounge chair and ottoman project began in June 2015 in Natal and was completed in December 2015 in Minas Gerais.

The Patroa lounge chair and ottoman design has received recognition for its outstanding creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2016. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exemplify resourcefulness, technical skill, and contribute to improving the quality of life.
