What sets Transform apart from other bookshelves is its ability to adapt to different requirements. Whether it's storing books of various sizes, displaying decorative items, or a combination of both, this bookshelf offers endless possibilities. The user can play with the pattern of boxes and experiment with color arrangements to create a personalized and visually appealing display.

The design process for Transform involved multiple sketches and the overlaying of ideas to achieve the most efficient and aesthetically pleasing form. The use of subtle colors adds to the overall appeal, allowing the bookshelf to blend seamlessly with any interior design style. The realization of this design was made possible through 3D modeling and renderings using 3ds Max.

With dimensions of 2100mm in width, 850mm in height, and 330mm in depth, Transform offers ample storage space while maintaining a compact footprint. The inclined angles of 105 degrees and 75 degrees ensure that books and other items stay securely in place without slipping off.

One of the key features of Transform is its user interaction. The individual boxes can be easily removed and rearranged according to the user's needs. Whether it's creating additional storage by placing a row of boxes above the cover box or removing all the boxes to accommodate larger items, this bookshelf offers flexibility and customization.

Transform is currently a work in progress, with Venkatesh Kalidoss continuously refining and improving the design. Extensive research was conducted to ensure that the bookshelf caters to the preferences of users worldwide. The designer studied the sizes of books preferred by users and the angles at which books are comfortable to pick. The challenge was to create as many patterns as possible by varying the size, shape, and color of each unit, resulting in over 20 unique patterns.

Transform has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2017 in the Furniture Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
