Donation Point Tap is a unique and affordable contactless payment device, specifically designed for charities and not-for-profit organizations. It serves as a practical alternative to the declining coin donations, allowing users to make donations using a contactless credit or debit card. The terminal is pre-set with a specific donation amount, which can be changed at any time using the Quest Cloud EFTPOS website. Lightweight and portable, the device can be placed on a retail counter or used at special events, enabling 'spur of the moment' donations.
The device is equipped with an interchangeable printed banner, which plays a crucial role in attracting attention and informing donors about the charity and the allocation of funds. A unique feature of Donation Point Tap is the integration of a full-colour display, which clearly communicates the pre-set donation amount and instils confidence in the donor.
Donation Point Tap is a product of the latest secure Near Field Communication technology (NFC) and 3G connectivity. This technology, coupled with a highly secure backend web portal, allows charities to monitor and configure their fleet of fundraising terminals in real time. The device is also user-friendly, providing clear feedback to the user through a large colour display.
Donation Point Tap has been recognized for its innovative design and impact on charitable giving. It was awarded Silver in the A' Social Design Award in 2017, a prestigious accolade given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
With the introduction of Donation Point Tap, charities can now receive a near 100% proportion of the donation amount, with funds settled into their account on the same day. This device not only improves cash flow for charities but also enhances the donation experience for donors, making it as simple as dropping a coin into a tin.
