VERZO eCo i1: A Futuristic Electric Bike by Petr Novague

Combining Elegance, Modernity, and High-Tech Serviceability in a Customizable Design

VERZO eCo i1, designed by Petr Novague, is an electric bike that caters to a large group of modern-oriented customers. The design process was inspired by the desire to find a balance between an elegant, modern, sporty look and high-tech serviceability. The goal was to incorporate everything that modern customers want and need.

The bike's unique properties lie in its versatility. It offers a wide range of customization options, from color combinations to different wheels, suspension forks, and automatic gearboxes. The design also provides exceptional comfort due to its special geometry and tool-less adjustment of the driver's seating position.

The eCo i1's frame is made of a composite material that combines various types of fibers and manufacturing techniques. This includes a combination of carbon fibers and S-class glass fibers used in producing ultralight planes, known as "aeroglass". This construction is lighter than ordinary materials used in electric bikes and offers high firmness and better vibration absorption.

The bike will be equipped with a Bosch motor with pedal assistance up to speeds of 25km per hour for street mode or 45km per hour for road mode. It also includes smart and safety features such as integrated rear and front lights, a built-in GPS chip with SIM card for emergency calls or location tracking, and a USB-C port installed in the frame for easy smartphone charging.

The design project, which took place in Prague from January 2016 to January 2017, faced the challenge of combining futuristic design, elegant features, and modern technologies. The result is a bike that maintains its attractiveness for customers without causing unnecessary uproar.

VERZO eCo i1's design excellence has been recognized with a Golden A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award in 2017. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, advancing art, science, design, and technology.
