Revolutionizing Exhibition Design: Robin Wang's Existing White

Golden A' Design Award Winner Transforms Public Spaces

Robin Wang's award-winning design, Existing White, redefines the concept of public spaces. Inspired by a public library, this exhibition design is a testament to the potential of architecture and design in creating multifunctional spaces.

Existing White is a unique exhibition design that draws its inspiration from the functionality and versatility of a public library. The design leaves ample public space for a variety of functions and events, such as salons, public reading rooms, and even a theater for an opera. The designer, Robin Wang, has skillfully utilized the unique structure of the architecture to magnify the sculptural elements using stereo wall and ceiling decoration. The design strikes a balance between advanced composite functional interior design and the unique architecture.

The design's unique properties lie in its use of white-based wood and steel for the decoration wall, creating a clean and comforting space atmosphere. The wooden staircase serves dual purposes - it is used for level intersection and also as a gathering spot for casual meetings and small events. This multifunctional area is an excellent show effect and encourages social activities.

The realization of this design is marked by the stair-step designed public area and the use of geometric surface and dimension stone. The wall body features large area stone multifaceted cutting, and the focus of the whole space is on the large staircase in the middle. Different materials are used on the ground to separate different functional spaces.

The design was created by Robin Wang with the help of ZHUBO DESIGN and Landscape:SIA. The project started in September 2015 and was completed in June 2016 in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. The design was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018, a testament to its innovative and trendsetting design.

Existing White is a refreshing departure from the traditional image of commercial real estate sales departments. The design is minimalistic, with a 180-degree view of the sun, and the interior of the building is designed as a pure pillarless space. The high-permeability insulating glass curtain wall of up to 4 meters replaces the wall that previously blocked the line of sight, creating an unbounded interior and exterior.

In conclusion, Robin Wang's Existing White is a revolutionary exhibition design that redefines the concept of public spaces. It is a testament to the potential of architecture and design in creating multifunctional spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The design's award-winning status further underscores its innovative and trendsetting nature.
