The Carpos corporate identity, designed by Panos Tsakiris, is a testament to the power of nature-inspired design. Drawing inspiration from the textures and colors of olive tree leaves, Tsakiris and his team have crafted a brand experience that is bold, emotional, and elegant.
The stationary, which includes letterheads, business cards, folders, envelopes, and other collateral, serves as a visual representation of the Carpos brand. The team meticulously selected Fedrigoni papers and other materials for their texture, creating a tactile experience that magnifies the element of nature. During the stationary photoshoot, real olive tree leaves and branches were used to create an environment associated with lying under an olive tree on a summer day.
Carpos' unique properties lie in its ability to resonate with users on an emotional level. The design team aimed to create a brand experience that evokes a sense of connection to nature. By incorporating the textures and colors of olive tree leaves, the stationary and packaging design serve as a reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds us.
The technical specifications of the Carpos corporate identity are as follows: letterhead (210 x 297), envelope (110 x 220), business card (50 x 90), and folder (230 x 310 x 4).
The Carpos corporate identity project began in mid-October 2016 and was officially launched at the end of May 2017. Throughout the design process, a thorough market research was conducted to understand the Swiss market, identify opportunities, analyze competitors, and define target users. Personas and scenarios were created to guide the design process, and moodboards were used to express the ethos of the company. Prototyping played a crucial role in refining the design and ensuring its quality.
Despite the numerous guidelines and budget constraints, the design team successfully created a high-quality, bold, and subtle identity for Carpos. The project was a testament to their creativity and resourcefulness.
The Carpos corporate identity has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2018. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contribute to quality of life improvements, and make the world a better place.
