Inspired by the washitsu, the public space behind the living room, designer Hsin-Yuan Lee has created a modern Zen-style residence. The elevated wooden floor, display cabinet furnished with wood and mirror, and the pebbles under the wall closet all contribute to the unique and serene atmosphere of the space.
Based on an elegant modern style, the indoor space is adorned with white ceilings, stone floors, grey mirrors, and titanium plating, expressing delicate tastes. The use of these materials adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to the residence.
Spanning 250 square meters, this residence was designed with the client's expectation of living in a 3-generation family in mind. To create a cheerful rural atmosphere, the designer incorporated abundant wood decorations throughout the space. This choice of materials generates a warm and inviting ambiance.
In addition to the wood furnishings, the residence is adorned with leathers and ironworks, further enhancing the clear-cut and elegant style. The combination of these elements creates a harmonious and visually pleasing environment.
The project was completed in March 2017 in Taichung City, Taiwan. Situated at the center of urban land reconsolidation, this tall mansion is surrounded by public facilities, providing residents with comfort and pleasure.
Winner of the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2018, this design is recognized for its well-designed, practical, and innovative features. It meets professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics. The residence not only fulfills its functional purpose but also contributes to a better world by creating a space that evokes positive feelings and satisfaction.
