Despite their fragile look, the use of custom-made threading and anti-abrasive, phthalate-free Swedish polymers guarantees that every pair can last up to 650 km.

The result is a product that is easy to use, transport, maintain, visually appealing, and reflects human kinematics. It activates each muscle and tendon and lets feet do their natural thing.

Since its inception as a Kickstarter campaign in 2016, Skinners has grown to become the most successful footwear crowdfunding project ever. The company's headquarters is located in Brno, Czech Republic, where each pair of Skinners is hand-made. The design has been recognized with a Golden A' Footwear, Shoes, and Boots Design Award in 2018, a testament to its innovative design and functionality.
