The Landmark: A New Icon in Guangzhou's Skyline

YuHong Sheng - Shing and Partners' Luxury Mansion Redefines Urban Living

Breaking away from the conventional "square box" residential design, The Landmark, designed by YuHong Sheng - Shing and Partners, stands as a symbol of innovative architecture in Guangzhou, China. This luxury mansion, inspired by the wheat ear growing next to the Zhujiang Park, enriches the city's skyline and offers a unique living experience.

The Landmark, with a total of 99 units, is the tallest residential building in Guangzhou. Standing at an impressive height of 198 meters, the structure is composed of three individual towers. This design not only adds to the aesthetic appeal of the building but also reflects in the method of plane household. The Landmark echoes with the Guangzhou West Tower, TV tower, and other landmarks, shaping a new landmark in the city.

The design of The Landmark is a testament to the innovative use of city resources. The project's total area is 16,024.3 square meters, with a total architectural area of 93,225.15 square meters. The building houses 99 luxurious units with different layouts, offering a range of options for residents. The Landmark stands out among the rectangular buildings in Zhujiang New Town, adding a new vitality to the cityscape.

Designed in Guangzhou in June 2009 and completed in September 2016, The Landmark is the last residential project along the city central axis in Zhujiang new town. The building offers several landscape viewport sources including central city area, Zhujiang park, Zhujiang north park. The design team, led by responsible architect/design director Yuhong Sheng, worked closely with engineers to balance the structure issue and plan layout, overcoming the challenge of curving shape and residential functions.

The Landmark's design is a perfect blend of elegance and functionality. As a unique super high-rise building on the Guangzhou new central axis, the project is sympathetic to Guangzhou TV Tower and the West Tower. The comfortable interior space is refreshing, and the design approach to multiple angles also shows the city's prosperity. The coordination within and outside the building expresses the architect's unremitting pursuit of land use, function, and quality.
