Waltz's design inspiration stems from a waltz pose, embodying the beauty and strength of the dance's streamline. The overall shape, reminiscent of a floating skirt, minimizes the presence of the limbs, creating a sense of unity with the user. The stool is crafted using heat-supported tube bending, metal welding, and stoving varnish for enhanced wear resistance. Made from stainless steel, Waltz measures 600 mm in width, 300 mm in depth, and 710 mm in height. The scale of the product is based on the natural sitting position of the human body, offering comfort and safety to the user.

Junyi Zeng embarked on the Waltz project in December 2017 in Shanghai and completed it in January 2018. The development process involved extensive market research, user testing, and several design adjustments to ensure the stool's ergonomic shape and strong load-bearing capacity. The challenge lay in integrating the strength and beauty of the waltz dance into a traditional stool design, and enabling users to understand the story behind it.
