Creating a Space for Quiet Thinking

Located in Taipei, Taiwan, the Mount Hermon office design by Zheng Xi Pang and Yun Ting Wu is a testament to their expertise in creating innovative and functional spaces. The designers were inspired by their own experiences of rise and fall in the business world, and they wanted to create a space that would foster creativity and reflection.

As an advertisement company, the client required a space that would facilitate the generation of new ideas in a short amount of time. To achieve this, the designers opted for a relatively stable color palette of black, white, and gray. These colors create a sense of calm and focus, allowing employees to concentrate on their work.

One of the standout features of the Mount Hermon office design is the four-sided lighting. The designers incorporated a large number of glass compartments to allow natural light to flood the space. This not only creates a bright and inviting atmosphere but also enhances the overall comfort of the office.

The designers carefully considered the materials used in the design to add visual interest and variety. They used lacquered glass and artificial stone for the black elements, while gray was achieved through concrete texture paint. The entrance of the office features white painted linear woodwork, creating a striking first impression that sets the tone for the rest of the space.

The Mount Hermon office design project began in April 2018 and was completed in July 2018. It has received recognition for its outstanding design, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills and contribute to quality of life improvements.
