A Tribute to a Century of Music

The album "100 Years of the Lodz Philharmonic: A Walk in the Space of Time Travel" is a stunning tribute to the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic on the 100th anniversary of its existence. Designed by Izabela Jurczyk, this publication takes the reader on a journey through the orchestra's history, presenting the backstage of the philharmonic hall.

The design of the album is truly unique and sets it apart from other publications. Each section of the book represents a different "point of view" and is marked with a mini table of contents. These "points" are indicated sequentially by numbers that refer in a rhythmic form to the organ pipes. The album contains descriptions, rich and interesting illustrations, archival photos, posters, invitations, and artistic programs from 1915-2015.

One of the key strengths of this design is its attention to detail. The cover, dust jacket, and layout of the book closely align with the new identification of the Philharmonic. The use of gold color underlines the jubilee character of the publication. Additional refinement treatments, such as hot stamping of the logo element on the dust jacket and selective painting on a hardcover, add a sophisticated and unique character to the entire publication.

The layout of the book allows for differentiation of presented texts, such as quotes, interesting passages of texts, anecdotes, and signatures. The challenge was to find the best solution for typography, showcasing both archival and contemporary materials. The result is a visually stunning publication that captures the essence of the Lodz Philharmonic's rich history.

The album, with its 400 pages, is not only a beautiful gift for guests of the Philharmonic but also a valuable collection of knowledge for music lovers. It was awarded the Golden Exlibriga for the most beautiful book of the year 2015 in the Lodz Province, further highlighting its excellence in design and content.

With its meticulous attention to detail, unique design elements, and rich content, "100 Years of the Lodz Philharmonic" is a true masterpiece that celebrates a century of music and the legacy of the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic.
