A Uniquely Finished Tabletop and Elegant Design

Havani, a renowned design brand, presents Marcello, a stunning dining table that combines elegance, functionality, and unique design features. With its exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, Marcello stands out as a one-of-a-kind piece that adds sophistication to any space.

The inspiration for Marcello came from Havani's desire to create original designs using bended steel sheets. The challenge was to find a solution for the limited availability of marble slabs in lengths of 3 meters. By prolonging the tabletop, Havani was able to offer 3-meter tables, making Marcello a truly exceptional dining table.

Marcello's unique properties lie in its frame and tabletop options. The frame is available in four different types of steel, including stainless steel and authentic Corten steel, and can be powder coated in 67 Ral colors. The legs of the table are elegantly thin, measuring only 1 cm, adding to the table's sleek and minimalistic design.

The quarterround edge finish seamlessly connects the frame to the tabletop, providing a comfortable position for users' wrists and forearms. The tabletop options include natural stone, composite stone, and wooden materials. Natural stone tabletops are available in various marbles, granites, and quartzites, each with optional surface finishes. For outdoor use, granite and Belgian Blue Limestone can be combined with authentic Corten Steel due to their specific characteristics.

Marcello is available in four different sizes, ranging from 1800 mm to 3000 mm in length, with a width of 920 mm. Additionally, a 1000 mm width option is also available. These dimensions ensure that Marcello can accommodate various dining needs and spaces.

The interaction with Marcello is designed to evoke three main feelings: usefulness, pleasantness, and rightfulness. The Marcello project started in October 2018 in Wortegem-Petegem, Belgium, and was completed in November 2019. It was exhibited in Maison et Objet in January 2020, showcasing its exceptional design and craftsmanship.

Havani's dedication to research and development is evident in the challenges they overcame during the creation of Marcello. They had to find the right thickness of steel to match the radius of the stone fabrication. Additionally, they focused on perfecting the design of the legs, including a concave design and thin, aligned seams.

Marcello has received recognition for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contribute to quality of life improvements, and make the world a better place.
