As the seconds tick away and every season transitions, Irozuki lives with you throughout the year. The calendar showcases different colors and expressions each month, creating a vibrant and ever-changing display. With Irozuki, the designers aim to bring color and inspiration to every aspect of your life.

The design of Irozuki is truly unique. By using only six papers for twelve months, the calendar achieves its changing colors and combinations. At the end of each month, simply bring the finished page to the back of the calendar. After six months, bring June to the back as well. Then, turn over all the papers together, and the next six months will start with a new color combination, creating a fresh and exciting experience.

The designers, Takafumi Miki and Tomoki Mitsuhashi, were inspired by the idea of incorporating a colorful calendar into a simple lifestyle and interior. They believe that simplicity is a great choice, but adding a beautiful spot of color can enhance the overall aesthetic. With Irozuki, they have created a product that not only serves as a functional calendar but also as a stunning interior piece.

One of the biggest challenges in designing Irozuki was creating a package that resembled a flower while still being practical for hanging. The designers overcame this obstacle by designing a flower-shaped package with double-cutting papers, allowing the calendar to maintain its flower-like shape when displayed.

The Irozuki calendar measures 220mm x 260mm, making it a perfect size for any interior space. Its compact design ensures that it can fit seamlessly into your daily life while adding a touch of color and creativity.

Irozuki was created during a project term from October 2019 to November 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. The designers conducted extensive research by visiting stores, exhibitions, and even their friends' houses to understand the market and the needs of potential users. They wanted to create a colorful calendar that could also serve as an affordable and stylish interior product.

This innovative design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. Irozuki was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020 in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, showcasing practicality, innovation, and integration of industry best practices.
