Adore Repackaging: Redefining Sanitary Pad Packaging

A Minimalist and Functional Design for the Modern Woman

Adore Repackaging, a project by Etereo Pte Ltd, introduces a fresh and innovative approach to sanitary pad packaging. With a focus on simplicity and functionality, this rebranding strategy aims to strengthen Adore's brand positioning in the market. Designed for the modern woman who values independence, professionalism, and confidence, Adore's new packaging offers a chic and clean design that is both visually appealing and practical. Through extensive market research and careful consideration of user preferences, Etereo Pte Ltd has created a packaging experience that is unique and tailored to the needs of its target audience.

To characterize Adore, Etereo Pte Ltd utilized Aloja, a handwritten font that exudes youthfulness and vibrancy. The overall design is minimalistic, featuring a plain background that draws attention to the product's benefits, with a strong emphasis on feminine health. This design choice sets Adore apart from its competitors, making it the first in the market to use a bold and playful font as the core design element on sanitary pad packaging.

One of the key strengths of Adore Repackaging lies in its use of high-quality materials sourced from Japan, Korea, and Malaysia. The sanitary pads are packaged in fully sealed aluminum packaging with resealing ability, ensuring that the pads remain germ and bacteria-free. This innovative design feature not only enhances the hygiene level of the product but also provides convenience for users. Through rigorous prototyping and testing, Etereo Pte Ltd fine-tuned the measurements and functionality of the packaging, resulting in a seamless user experience.

Adore Repackaging offers three variations of sanitary pads: Pantyliner (Get Comfortable), Day (Happy Days), and Night (Sweet Dreams). Each variant is designed with specific dimensions to cater to different needs, ensuring maximum comfort and protection for the modern woman.

The project, which commenced in November 2018, was launched islandwide in Singapore in April 2019. Throughout the design process, Etereo Pte Ltd conducted extensive market research to understand the latest trends and preferences in the female market. This research served as the foundation for the three design variations, with typography emerging as the main design element. By adopting a minimalist approach and incorporating eye-catching typography, Adore Repackaging stands out on the shelves, capturing the attention of its target audience.

One of the main challenges faced by Etereo Pte Ltd was to create a new look for Adore while maintaining the brand's strong recognition among its loyal customer base. By striking a balance between innovation and familiarity, the design team successfully achieved this goal, ensuring that Adore Repackaging appeals to both existing and potential customers.

Adore Repackaging has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate excellence in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to improvements in quality of life. Adore Repackaging exemplifies the fusion of technical and creative skills, making it a standout design that enhances the overall consumer experience.

With its minimalist and functional design, Adore Repackaging sets a new standard in sanitary pad packaging. By prioritizing the needs and preferences of the modern woman, Etereo Pte Ltd has created a packaging experience that is both visually appealing and user-friendly. Adore Repackaging not only protects and enhances the product but also reflects the brand's commitment to feminine health and empowerment.
