Lumino: A Unique Single Street Bench

The Lumino bench, designed by Vasil Velchev, is a remarkable piece of street furniture that stands out with its unique design and innovative features. These materials include a solid-surface stone-like material, acrylic shiny plastic, and semi-transparent acrylic material.

The bench is equipped with internal illumination that creates a captivating glow after dark, turning it into an enchanting piece of art. Additionally, a solar panel mounted on the top of the bench provides an independent power source, making it environmentally friendly.

Aside from its aesthetic appeal, Lumino also prioritizes functionality. The simple shape and smooth design not only contribute to its visual elegance but also make it easy to clean and maintain. Furthermore, the absence of exposed fixations ensures that the bench is resistant to vandalism, making it suitable for public spaces.

The manufacturing and installation of Lumino presented some challenges. Due to its monolithic design, producing the bench in one solid piece proved to be difficult. To overcome this, the bench is manufactured in separate parts, making the installation process more manageable.

Its unique construction, weather resistance, anti-vandal features, and captivating illumination make it an exceptional addition to any urban landscape.
