Gray Territory: A Modern and Simple Pet Grooming Center

Creating a Unique Space Aesthetics

In response to the growing demand for pet grooming centers, designer Tsung Ju Wu brings a new look to the industry with Gray Territory. This commercial space project showcases a modern and simple design language, with gray as the main color, creating a unique space aesthetics. The inclusion of a photo studio in the basement adds a creative touch to the pet grooming experience.

Gray Territory stands out from other pet grooming centers with its focus on spatial layout and value. The design team utilizes colors and glass interfaces to extend the visual effect, making the limited spatial pattern of the site feel more expansive. The lighting design and use of composite media create a captivating atmosphere, enriching the beauty of the space and showcasing the uniqueness of this pet grooming center.

The design team employed various materials and technologies to bring Gray Territory to life. Cultural stone, wood fiberboard, epoxy, exquisite coating paint, and mosaics were used to create a harmonious blend of textures and surfaces. The result is a visually stunning space that seamlessly combines industrial elements with a warm and inviting ambiance.

The layout of Gray Territory is carefully planned to maximize functionality and create a dynamic flow. The round layout on the first floor effectively reduces wasted space, while the ground floor features a spacious layout without compartments, providing an independent space for pet photography after grooming.

Located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, Gray Territory was completed in August 2017. The design team conducted extensive research to ensure that the space reflected the desired industrial style. Gray-scale tones, contrast between black and white, and the use of different materials all contribute to the overall aesthetic. The EPOXY flooring adds a unique touch, with a flowing effect that enhances the visual appeal of the space.

Despite the challenges presented by the irregular shape of the receptionist counter and the curved cultural stone wall surface, the design team overcame these obstacles with precise measurements and meticulous planning. The end result is a stunning reception area that exudes elegance and antique beauty.

Gray Territory has received recognition for its exceptional design. In 2021, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, showcasing innovation, practicality, and integration of industry best practices.

Gray Territory is a testament to the creativity and expertise of designer Tsung Ju Wu. With its modern and simple design language, unique space aesthetics, and innovative features, this pet grooming center sets a new standard in the industry.
