Huidao: Innovative Seasoning Packaging for Chefs

Simplifying Taste Differentiation and Storage

For chefs, distinguishing between various flavors of stewed soup and sauce can be a challenge. The abundance of products in these two series often leads to confusion in the kitchen. Additionally, the original packaging is disposable, making it difficult to preserve the product after opening. Recognizing these issues, designer Gaowei Xin aimed to create a systematic solution that would streamline the management and storage of seasonings.

Huidao stands out from other brands by offering a concise and visually appealing design. Each product is accompanied by a clear illustration and name, making it easy for chefs to quickly identify the desired seasoning. This innovative approach simplifies the selection process and enhances the overall user experience.

One of the standout features of Huidao is its rotatable screw cover. This addition extends the shelf life of the product, preventing waste and ensuring that the seasonings can be used over time. The packaging itself is made from PLA polymer material, further contributing to its sustainability and eco-friendliness.

Measuring at 140mm in width and 220mm in height, Huidao offers a compact yet functional packaging solution for chefs. Its self-supporting bottom adds to its convenience, allowing for easy access and intuitive usage.

The design process for Huidao took approximately two months and was completed in Jinan, China. Through extensive research, Gaowei Xin identified the need for a packaging solution that simplifies taste differentiation and allows for repeated use. By combining concise illustrations, clear names, and a rotating cover, Huidao successfully addresses these challenges.

Huidao's innovative approach to condiment packaging has garnered recognition in the design community. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, a prestigious accolade that celebrates well-designed, practical, and innovative creations. This award highlights Huidao's ability to meet professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
