Star Partition: A Blend of Art and Functionality

The Star Partition stands out for its unique properties. Its wavy texture and smooth surface form a strong visual contrast, presenting a unique visual experience and decorating homes with an elegant and subtle beauty. The well-distributed structure provides proper separation while maintaining communication between spaces. The upper part serves as a decorative partition, while the lower part is a practical storage cabinet. This partition system can be customized according to different home scenarios, meeting various storage needs.

The Star Partition is crafted from two main materials - brushed metal and wavy glass. It is flat-packed for convenient disassembly and transportation, reducing costs. The design team, led by Designer Director Xiaoke Huang, faced the challenge of meeting a high degree of customization and mass production. After deliberating over 50 test models and selecting the best material from 300 samples, the team achieved a design that balances beauty and functionality.

The Star Partition is not just a static piece of furniture; it interacts with its environment. The surf glass changes with the ambient light, providing a dynamic visual experience through refraction. The design project, which started in January 2019 in Guangzhou, was completed in April 2019. The main research focus was to create a dynamic visual effect that satisfies the balance of separation and communication while finding materials suitable for modern home style.

This design has been recognized for its innovative approach. It was awarded Silver in A' Furniture Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
