PII Fit: A Sci-fi Gym Experience

PII Fit stands out with its black base interior and line lights, a design element inspired by the 2010 film "Tron: Legacy". This combination not only provides strong visual effects and adequate lighting but also plays an important role in guiding the circulation within the gym. The gym's technology elements are embodied in the spinning room and the HOLOFITS room. The spinning room features a 180-degree wide-angle seamless projection for an immersive experience, while the HOLOFITS room is equipped with touch screens on the wall and floor for interactive workouts.

The gym is built with a lamp belt, acrylic plate, and stainless steel structure, ensuring both cost-effectiveness and structural strength. Sound insulation equipment is also incorporated into the design to prevent noise disturbance to the floors above the gym, which houses a training institution. This attention to detail and consideration for the surrounding environment showcases the designers' commitment to creating a harmonious space.

PII Fit is not just a gym, but a space where young customers can exercise, make friends, relieve pressure, and accomplish daily tasks. The designers have thoughtfully decorated different fitness areas with varied themes to cater to the diverse customer base. For instance, the Pilates room, which mainly attracts female customers, features a starry sky ceiling with pink lights to set off the atmosphere.

Located in Xiamen, China, the project was launched in October 2018 and completed in March 2019. The 2000 square meter gym was put into use in May 2019. Despite facing challenges in sound insulation during the decoration phase, the team successfully overcame these issues, ensuring that no noise from the gym can be heard in the neighboring floors.

PII Fit's unique design and innovative approach to fitness have not gone unnoticed. The gym was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
