La Casa Grazia: A Unique Blend of Tuscan and Chinese Design

An Exquisite Private House Inspired by Tuscany

Inspired by the rich heritage of Tuscany, La Casa Grazia is a stunning private house that seamlessly blends Italian and Chinese design elements. Designed by Anterior Design Limited, this 2-story, 8500sq.ft house is a true masterpiece that showcases the beauty of both cultures.

The inspiration for La Casa Grazia came from the client's love for Italian design and the desire to recreate the charming atmosphere of the Tuscany region in central Italy. The design team at Anterior Design Limited incorporated elements such as Travertine marble, terracotta tiles, wrought iron, and balustrade railing to capture the essence of Tuscan style.

What sets La Casa Grazia apart is the unique fusion of Italian and Chinese culture. From the main foyer to the dining room, the house is adorned with hand-painted dyed silk wallpaper panels from the de Gournay Chinoiserie series. The tea room is furnished with Shang Xia by Hermes, adding a touch of Chinese elegance to the mix. This blend of cultures creates a captivating atmosphere throughout the house.

The realization of La Casa Grazia involved the use of various techniques and materials. The house features botanical elements, with dyed silk wallpaper, frescoes on arched ceilings, hand-painted cabinet doors, and area rugs in the bedrooms. The master bathroom floor is adorned with a magnificent peacock pattern marble mosaic, made from thousands of small pieces of blue marble in different tones.

One of the main challenges faced during the construction of La Casa Grazia was the creation of the spiral staircase. Crafted from Travertine marble and wrought iron railing, the staircase required meticulous craftsmanship to achieve the desired curved marble details. Months of collaboration with skilled craftsmen and the project team resulted in a staircase that is both functional and visually striking.

Located in Shenzhen, China, La Casa Grazia took three years to complete and was finished in February 2019. The attention to detail and the seamless integration of Tuscan and Chinese design elements make this private house a true work of art.

La Casa Grazia has been recognized for its exceptional design and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is a testament to the outstanding craftsmanship and innovative approach that went into creating this unique blend of cultures.

With its mix of Tuscan and Chinese design, La Casa Grazia stands as a testament to the beauty of cultural fusion. Anterior Design Limited has successfully created a space that harmoniously combines the elegance of Italian design with the sophistication of Chinese elements, resulting in a truly remarkable private house.
