Together Better: A Revolutionary Mobile Application for Social Planning

Designed by Zhongnan Huang, the App Streamlines Social Experiences

The app's unique properties lie in its ability to consolidate various functions into a single platform. Users can make plans, navigate to meeting points, and share their experiences, all without having to switch between different apps. The design also employs a Neomorphism (Soft UI) style to reduce the digital feel of the information, which includes physical world elements such as maps and attractions.

The user interface of Together Better was designed using Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. The design is responsive and user-friendly, providing an improved play experience for users. The app is tagged with keywords such as play, mobile, application, UI, UX, mobile app, travel, and Neomorphism, reflecting its multifaceted functionality.

The design process involved extensive research and market observation. Huang and his team member, Zi Zheng, interviewed 70 people to understand the challenges they faced while planning outings with friends. The team then analyzed the applications that customers had installed on their phones. The design of visual and interactive logic was completed under various UX Research methodologies.

The project, which started in September 2019 in HangZhou and finished in April 2020, faced several challenges. The most significant was finding a way to simplify complex tasks for users. The solution was to design an intuitive and efficient content and operation mode that would prevent users from wasting time on the app, allowing them to spend more time in the real world with friends.

Together Better is a testament to the power of innovative design in improving everyday experiences. By consolidating various functions into a single platform, the app simplifies the process of social planning, allowing users to focus on enjoying their time with friends. The design's success, as evidenced by its Silver A' Design Award, underscores the importance of user-centered design in the realm of mobile applications.
