Revolutionizing Timekeeping: Albert Salamon's Innovative Watchfaces Collection

Unique, Aesthetic, and Futuristic: A New Way to Understand Time

Albert Salamon, a renowned designer, has created a groundbreaking collection of watchfaces applications. These designs, which are original, simple, and aesthetically pleasing, offer a fresh perspective on timekeeping. This article delves into the inspiration, unique properties, and challenges faced during the creation of this award-winning collection.

The watchfaces collection, designed specifically for the I'm Watch device, includes Tritime, Fortime, Timegrid, Timinus, Timechart, and Timenine. Each application boasts a distinct style, ranging from future ethnic to sci-fi and digital business. The graphics for all watchfaces are available in nine colors, complementing the I'm Watch color collection.

The inspiration for these designs stemmed from a desire to innovate and revolutionize the way we perceive time. Salamon sought to create a unique, 21st-century timepiece that didn't imitate traditional mechanical or electric watches. His designs are a testament to this vision, offering a new way of showing, reading, and understanding time.

Creating these innovative watchfaces was not without challenges. The main hurdle was designing a simple yet original representation of time that broke away from conventional designs. Despite these challenges, Salamon and his team, including coder Michal Zylinski, succeeded in creating a collection that is both innovative and aesthetically pleasing.

The project, which began in June 2012 in Warsaw, was completed in February 2013. The watchfaces were then uploaded to the I'Market. The collection has since garnered significant recognition and praise, highlighting Salamon's innovative design approach.

The watchfaces collection was awarded the Golden A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction, and User Experience Design category in 2013. This prestigious award is given to exceptional creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, advance art, science, design, and technology, and significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.

In conclusion, Albert Salamon's watchfaces collection is a revolutionary approach to timekeeping. It challenges conventional designs with its unique, aesthetic, and futuristic applications, offering a fresh perspective on time. The collection's success and recognition underscore the importance of innovation and originality in design.
