The design showcases the brand's gene and offers consumers a fresh perspective on life and philosophy.
The Mulian Hotel Group recently launched their new brand concept, "Refresh, start again", infusing the "art sojourns lifestyle" into the modern hotel experience. The Mid-Autumn Festival moon cake gift box serves as a significant display of this brand upgrade. The abstract concepts of "inspiration" and "fantasy" are represented through a combination of abstract graphics and brand elements, stimulating diverse imaginations.
The mooncake box is realized using special paper, light-emitting devices, leather craft, pattern bronzing, and text silk screen processes. The design comes in three styles, each with its unique dimensions. One of the packages even features a built-in light fixture that automatically lights up when the package is lifted, transforming it into an interactive lantern.
The design project, which started in July 2020 in Guangzhou, China, was a collaborative effort of Astro Wong and Dorne Tsui. The team faced the challenge of fusing artistic inspiration with living in the country, and the creative ideas of the literati. The successful fusion of these elements into a cohesive work of art is a testament to the team's creative prowess.
