Yeahbox: A Unique Blend of Office and Exhibition Space

Integrating Life Aesthetics with Gift Designs

As a gift customization brand, Yeah Box has been committed to integrating life aesthetics with gift designs. This case intends to associate product display with office space to create an interactive site that echoes the Yeah Box brand spirit featuring Yours, Elasticity, Aesthetics, and Hospitality.

The Yeahbox design, created by Danqing Guo, is a remarkable fusion of office and exhibition space. The two-story building space adopts a Tetris plane layout to maximize the use of space. Mirrors are strategically placed to increase spatial infinity, while colors and shapes enhance spatial stratification. By inserting L-shaped functional blocks, the design keeps all functional areas independent yet integrated, serving as a shared space for product display, efficient office operations, and recreation.

The first floor of Yeahbox is dedicated to display and office functions. The lifting table serves as both a proofing operation panel and a simple small conference table. The wall integrates the functions of a writing board, display, and tool storage. The areas by the windows retain the original concrete floor ceiling, reducing the use of decorative panels. The second floor provides a relatively private space for receiving visitors and taking a rest.

The orange color serves as the dominant tone of the space, while yellow and gray are applied as transition colors. This warm tone combination creates a young and lively atmosphere, highlighting the unique temperament of the brand. At the entrance area, a suspended staircase is erected, under which a window display space is formed to exhibit new products. The drawing design with storage cabinets can meet the display needs of various themes.

The Yeahbox design aims to showcase the idea of the Yeah Box brand while providing a fun and relaxed atmosphere for its staff and guests. The Tetris plane layout and L-shaped blocks combine beauty and function, creating a space that is both visually appealing and practical. The orange background adds a touch of playfulness, making the room feel lighter and more inviting.

The Yeahbox project started in March 2020 and was completed in October 2020 in Shenzhen. Throughout the design process, the team faced two main challenges. The first challenge was to combine product display and office space to create an interactive environment. The second challenge was to maximize visual effects within a limited budget. The solution was to design a space that is both independent and integrated, using the design itself to express beauty, a fun atmosphere, and functionality.

The Yeahbox design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. The Yeahbox design exhibits strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
