Jiangyin Thermoelectric: A Green Energy Exhibition Hall

Transforming an Old Factory into a Sustainable Showcase

The Jiangyin Thermoelectric exhibition center, designed by Sunidea Design, is a remarkable transformation of an old factory area into a sustainable and interactive showcase of green energy. Located in the old factory area of Jiangyin Thermal Power Co., Ltd, the project has converted a 3-story old building with a total area of about 1200 square meters into an enterprise exhibition hall and a green energy science museum. The exhibition center focuses on the theme of environmental protection and presents it through a series of interactive multimedia exhibition items.

The exhibition site is mainly constructed with energy-saving and environmental-friendly materials, reflecting the commitment to sustainability. The designers have integrated equipment with commemorative significance from the early days of the factory, showcasing the journey of entrepreneurship and innovation. This integration adds a touch of history and nostalgia to the exhibition hall, connecting the past with the present.

The project covers a total area of 2000 square meters, providing ample space for visitors to explore and engage with the exhibits. The exhibition center utilizes cutting-edge technology to create an immersive experience. The "Tesla Coil" is displayed through holographic projection technology, while the Jiangyin Bridge is lit up through cycling to generate electricity, allowing children to experience the fun of energy science.

The design team faced several challenges during the transformation of the old building. The ragged outer walls and narrow lobbies were transformed into a modern and simple light steel structure. Walls were removed and reinforced, effectively widening the entrance and foyer space, leaving visitors with a new and impressive first impression.

The design of the exhibition center takes "green energy creates the future" as its theme. A customized LED column screen creates a "thermal forest", bringing the concept of nature and sustainability into the space. The ceiling design incorporates mirror materials, creating a unique immersive lighting art space that captivates visitors.

The Jiangyin Thermoelectric exhibition center is not only a showcase of green energy but also a symbol of innovation and progress. It provides a platform for education and awareness about sustainable practices and the importance of renewable energy sources. Through its unique design and interactive exhibits, it inspires visitors to embrace a greener future.

This remarkable project by Sunidea Design started in September 2020 and was completed in December 2020 in Wuxi. The design team's meticulous research and attention to detail have resulted in a space that seamlessly combines art, architecture, and technology to create a truly immersive and enlightening experience.
