I created this image to evoke emotion and mystery for this historic liqueur. The dreamlike setting and the play of light enhance the new bottle design. Special lights strategically positioned on the photographic set highlight the modernity of the bottle. Placing the bottle in the center of the image with an infinite horizon ensures optimal visibility of the product.
The image was realized using a 150 megapixel digital back, resulting in a final dimension of 70 x 100 cm at 300 dpi. The use of high-quality digital hardware and software technologies contributed to the creation of this captivating image.
The goal of the image was to capture the attention of the consumer public, particularly the younger demographic. By creating a dreamlike and mysterious atmosphere, it aimed to evoke memories of special evenings spent with friends.
The project, led by Pierluigi Fossa and the Opificio42 team, started in July 2019 in Varese and was completed in September 2019. Throughout the process, the team faced the challenge of finding the perfect lighting that would enhance the bottle design while creating an emotional impact.
The minimal and modern design of the bottle served as the inspiration for this photograph. The combination of opaque glass and the purplish hue of the liqueur allowed for the imagination of a captivating interplay of light. The black and purple color scheme reflects the product's name and nature, while the enveloping smoke adds an element of mystery and magic.
Bottle in the Dark was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Photography and Photo Manipulation Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade recognizes well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design is respected for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world and evoking positive feelings.
