Office Space Design by Guangyu Han

The Huge Engine and Dedicated office space, designed by Guangyu Han, breaks down the boundaries between work and life, aligning with a worker-centered, smart, and innovative philosophy. The aim of the design is to inspire workers by providing them with a creative and dynamic environment.

The office space, located in one of the highest office buildings in Kunming, spans 3,200 square meters, with a usable area of 2,000 square meters. The design takes into consideration the needs of the company's nearly 300 employees and future recruitment plans, effectively utilizing every space.

The layout of the office space adopts a circular design, with five groups divided to accommodate different types of work, such as sales, e-commerce, design, and filming. Each group has independent brainstorming areas, connected by meeting rooms, tea rooms, and rest areas, promoting efficient collaboration.

The design incorporates high-tech elements and a variety of activity spaces, allowing employees to choose their preferred working mode. The use of glass partitions increases transparency and creates a sense of connection with the urban landscape outside. The interior is bathed in natural light, enhancing the overall brightness and liveliness of the space.

Environmental friendliness and safety were also key considerations in the design. The choice of materials prioritized fire resistance and health, with safe colored paints used throughout the space. Metal elements on the roof reflect neutral light, creating a gentle tone and delineating individual office areas. The rest area is designed with wood and leather, providing a comfortable space for staff to relax.

The Huge Engine and Dedicated office space project began in March 2020 and was completed in July 2020, with an official opening in August 2020. Despite the tight construction timeline of just two months, effective collaboration between the designers, construction team, and the client ensured the successful completion of the project.

This innovative office space design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, technical skills, and contributions to improving the quality of life.
