Ten Thousand to One Exhibition

Showcasing Thesis Projects by Communication Design Seniors

The Ten Thousand to One Exhibition is a platform for seniors in the Communication Design Program at Mahidol University International College to showcase their thesis projects. The exhibition aims to integrate a visual identity that connects all the projects together while creating a friendly and inspired atmosphere for visitors.

The designers behind the exhibition have created a series of materials and publications with the Ten Thousand to One visual identity. Through the use of illustration, color, and key graphics, they have designed a set of visual identity concepts that not only highlight the uniqueness of each project but also tie them together cohesively.

The exhibition features various media and applications, including on and offline publications, an identity system, poster designs, promotional virals, animated clips, typography designs, environmental graphic design for wayfinding systems and stage design, as well as the event's booklet, gift, and souvenir design. These elements come together to create an immersive experience for visitors, allowing them to appreciate the creative works on display.

The Ten Thousand to One Exhibition took place at Siam Center in Bangkok from 20th to 22nd November 2020. The exhibition space spanned 120m x 110m, providing ample room for visitors to explore and engage with the thesis projects.

One of the challenges faced by the designers was to create a visual identity that not only represented the unique characteristics of each project but also appealed to visitors from non-design backgrounds. The visual identity needed to be flexible enough to be applied to various promotional materials and media while effectively communicating the theme of the exhibition.

The Ten Thousand to One Exhibition was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2022. This prestigious award recognizes designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, technical skills, and contributions to improving the quality of life.
