Inspired by the normality and daily routine of the project participants, Sharon Webber-Zvik sought to highlight the simplicity in their lives. The design reflects the desire for ice-cream on a sunny day, guitar lessons, and the natural lack of desire to go to school in the morning. By focusing on these elements, the design emphasizes the common ground shared by both Jewish and Arab youth, promoting peace and optimism.
The "One Day" design stands out due to its unique approach of showcasing the daily lives of young people from different backgrounds. It was created for a documentary film summarizing the joint project and was used as part of the new application's marketing campaign in Israel.
To bring the design to life, Sharon Webber-Zvik used a collage presentation created using Adobe Photoshop CC. The logo was animated using iStopMotion software by Boinx, with each frame manually generated to achieve the desired movement and tempo.
The graphics were designed to be used in a Full HD resolution documentary film, with the animated logo dimensions planned accordingly. Additionally, a static logo was created for printing on T-shirts given as souvenirs to all participants in the project.
The "One Day" design, along with the documentary film, was presented at an official event at Google's headquarters in Tel-Aviv, Israel. The design received positive feedback and contributed to the overall impact of the project, promoting peace and technology.
This unique design project was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2014. It showcases outstanding expertise, innovation, and artistic skill, leaving a lasting impression on viewers and evoking positive emotions.
