Boyue Wedding: A Landmark of Art and Wedding in Shangrao

A Unique Design Inspired by Greek Mythology

Inspired by Greek mythology, the design concept of Boyue Wedding, created by James Lai, is a pair of wings of time. Incorporating the design theme of the wedding, the shape also abstractly resembles W, the initial of the word wedding.

With a building area of 8000 square meters, Boyue Wedding aims to create a landmark of art and wedding in the city of Shangrao. The overall project is composed of three independent buildings, and a wing-shaped installation serves as the entrance lobby, connecting the originally three independent buildings. This unique design sets Boyue Wedding apart from other wedding venues, making it a standout architectural marvel.

The main materials used in the construction of Boyue Wedding include aluminum plate, iron, flower art, crystal lamps, and other installation materials. These materials are carefully chosen to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal, creating a visually stunning environment for weddings and events.

Boyue Wedding offers a range of facilities and amenities to cater to the needs of newlyweds and their guests. The modern art church, with its unique design, has become a popular internet celebrity church. The Dubai-styled lobby exudes luxury and elegance, while the multi-functional banquet hall and themed wedding halls provide versatile spaces for various wedding styles and themes.

Entering Boyue Wedding, visitors are greeted by two white flying horses, symbolizing auspiciousness and adding a sense of grandeur to the experience. As they walk through the heart of the wings, illuminated by lights and accompanied by a musical fountain, they reach Building 10, where they can admire the sculpture of Rhea from Greek mythology, holding an hourglass to symbolize the recording of happy moments.

The project was designed in August 2020 and completed in May 2021 in Shangrao, China. The design team, led by James Lai, overcame various challenges to create a design that not only meets functional requirements but also serves as a commercial attraction. The wing-shaped installation, strategically placed as a gate, enhances the overall impression of the project and fulfills its intended purpose.

Boyue Wedding has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category in 2022. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Boyue Wedding stands as a testament to the integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
