CureSight: Revolutionizing the Treatment of Lazy Eye

A Powerful and Stylish Solution for Lazy Eye Treatment

The CureSight device, designed by Kobi Kor, is set to transform the treatment of lazy eye with its innovative approach and sleek design.

The inspiration for the CureSight device came from a personal experience that Kobi Kor had when one of his children needed to treat lazy eye with an eye patch. Recognizing the discomfort and social stigma associated with traditional treatment methods, Kor set out to create a more effective and user-friendly solution.

The CureSight device stands out with its unique properties and strengths. It offers the advantage of treating lazy eye from the comfort of home, allowing patients to watch their favorite TV shows or streaming videos while undergoing treatment. By integrating high-end technologies such as eye-tracking and AI software tools, CureSight provides personalized and effective treatment for lazy eye.

The design process for CureSight involved extensive research and collaboration with clinical experts and users. Through brainstorming sessions and physical mockups, the team worked to address the limitations of current treatment methods and ensure optimal ergonomics and usability.

The device features an aluminum CNC-machined front bezel and a plastic injection-molded back cover, combining durability with a modern aesthetic. Its dimensions of 230mm (H) x 390mm (W) x 60mm (D) make it compact and portable.

During the development of CureSight, rigorous research was conducted to validate its effectiveness. A randomized, controlled pivotal trial demonstrated that CureSight was non-inferior to eye patching, the gold standard treatment for lazy eye. The study also revealed a remarkable 93% adherence to CureSight treatment and a high preference for the device among parents.

By providing a fun and engaging treatment experience, CureSight aims to empower patients, particularly children, to overcome the challenges associated with lazy eye treatment. The sleek and modern design, inspired by popular tech gadgets, adds to the appeal and motivation for users.

The CureSight project began in 2019 in Tel Aviv and was completed in late 2021. It was showcased at the CES in January 2020, garnering attention and recognition for its innovative approach to lazy eye treatment.

With its groundbreaking technology and stylish design, CureSight has earned the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Medical Devices and Medical Equipment category in 2022. This award recognizes the device's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards.
