Evian Valley: A Modern and Artistic Residential House

Creating a Borderless Lifestyle with Innovative Design

Spanning over 800 square meters, Evian Valley is a single villa space located in Changshu. The project, which started in January 2021 and was completed in April 2021, showcases the designer's humanistic insight and innovation.

The main inspiration behind the design was to avoid the traditional layout of double doors at the entrance and garage. The "White Box" concept was born out of the designer's desire to create a rational and orderly space. By using this method, the designer has shaped a harmonious and functional living environment that brings joy to its inhabitants.

One of the standout features of Evian Valley is the extensive use of glass windows throughout the building. This design choice maximizes the connection between the interior and the exterior, allowing the natural mountain scenery to merge with the art and humanity of the interior. The result is a space that has its own unique soul.

The design team, led by Chief Designer Chen Yi and assisted by Yang Chengwei and Yang Chao, carefully selected materials to bring the vision to life. Dyed veneer, rock board, and latex paint were used to create a modern and elegant atmosphere.

In the living room, different elements collide to inspire a borderless lifestyle. Dark green rattan sofa chairs and striped sofa chairs from the Italian B&B UP series add an artistic touch to the space. The seamless integration of these elements creates a dynamic and inviting atmosphere.

One of the design challenges was to maximize natural light in the villa space. The designer achieved this by relocating the staircase from the closed north side to the light-filled south side. The revolving staircase serves as a support point for natural light, breaking through spatial barriers and creating a sense of openness.

The master bedroom embodies elegance and tranquility, with a focus on natural light. The use of calm colors and materials creates a soothing atmosphere, allowing the outdoor light to shape the ambiance of the space.

Evian Valley has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that incorporate best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
