Budero's Risefit: A Revolutionary Approach to Outdoor Fitness

The idea behind Risefit was born out of the need to train outdoors, a demand that has grown exponentially in the wake of the pandemic. Budero's design team, led by Akın Budakoğlu and including product designers Kemal Atıoğlu and Çağlı Torun, sought to create a solution that not only catered to this demand but also provided an emotionally engaging experience. The result is a series of outdoor fitness equipment that exudes strength, energy, and resilience, encouraging individuals to keep pushing their limits.

What sets Risefit apart is its unique properties. It is not just a replication of indoor gym equipment but a reimagining of it for the outdoors. The design is bold and robust, constructed with a fresh perspective to evoke a sense of energy and strength. It caters to varying fitness levels and abilities, making it a versatile solution for diverse users.

The realization of Risefit involved a meticulous process of ideation, research, and execution. The design team chose bend steel pipes for the outer shell, pieced together with metal die-cast X and Y modules. For stations requiring handles, plastic injection molded parts were used. The modular system design facilitates easy assembly and allows for an oven dying process.

Risefit is designed for cross-training and calisthenics, making it suitable for high-intensity interval training (HIIT), core workouts, and strengthening. Some stations offer boxing, kettlebell, and rope climbing options, while others are designed for bodyweight training. Each workout model comes with an explanation plate featuring interface graphics, guiding users on how to exercise with the product.

The design journey of Risefit began in June 2022 and concluded in September the same year. The production of molding and manufacturing fixtures is set to be ready by 2023, marking the start of mass production. This journey was not without its challenges, the most significant being the decision on outer designs and the integration of fitness stations. The team overcame this by creating an X module, which facilitated easy assembly and gave the desired effect.

Risefit is not just a product; it is a testament to the power of design and innovation in enhancing lifestyle. It has been recognized with a Silver A' Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design Award in 2023, a testament to its outstanding design and innovation. Risefit is a shining example of how design can transform a simple concept into a revolutionary solution, paving the way for a healthier and more active society.
