Happy Aquarius: More Than Just a Water Bottle

Chungsheng Chen and Enyang Chen's Innovative Design Wins Golden A' Design Award

The designers were inspired to create a safe, practical, and aesthetically pleasing water bottle after noticing the potential health risks associated with plastic bottles. Made from 100% recyclable food-grade silicone, the Happy Aquarius is BPA-free and can withstand temperatures ranging from 220 degrees Celsius to -40 degrees Celsius.

The Happy Aquarius stands out with its smooth, smiling curvature design and eye-catching dual-color appearance, exuding a sense of youthful energy and fashion. Its soft-touch surface coating provides a silky feel, offering a comfortable grip. The bottle's flexibility, elasticity, and hollow structure allow it to function as a hand gripper and lightweight dumbbell, making it a versatile accessory for fitness enthusiasts.

The creation of the Happy Aquarius was not without challenges. The designers had to overcome the technical difficulty of achieving double-sided color formation for silicone material and creating a curvature hollow structure in the middle of the bottle. After numerous trials and errors, they successfully developed a special molding technique to bring their vision to life.

The Happy Aquarius project began in 2014 and was completed in 2015 in Tainan. It was exhibited at the 2015 Creative Expo Taiwan and the 2015 Taipei International Invention Show. The design was also recognized with the 2015 GoldenPin Design Award in Taiwan and holds Design Patent D167870.

The Happy Aquarius is a testament to the designers' commitment to creating products that are not only functional and safe but also aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly.
