Designed by the talented team at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Triangle is a table design that embodies the concept of growth. This innovative piece of furniture combines digital design techniques with mathematical logic to create a table that is not only functional but also visually captivating.

What sets Triangle apart from other tables is its irregular desktop, made from Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), and its intricate branch-like steel legs. The combination of these elements creates a unique and eye-catching design that adds a touch of elegance to any space.

One of the key features of Triangle is its modular design, which allows users to arrange multiple tables into different patterns using mathematical logic. This not only adds an element of entertainment but also makes the space more rhythmic and dynamic. Whether it's an open office or a coffee shop, Triangle can transform the environment and facilitate communication with its curved desktop.

The realization of Triangle is made possible through the use of digital design, a new method that combines human creativity with computer algorithms. By giving the computer framework instructions, designers can control the lines and surfaces to generate random shapes. These forms are then adjusted and combined with traditional design methods to create unique and innovative products like Triangle.

With dimensions of 1560mm * 1110mm * 740mm, each Triangle table is designed to fit multiple scenes and spaces. The surface and supporting structure are connected by bolts, allowing users to easily assemble and disassemble the table. Additionally, users can customize the color of the table to match their preferences.

The Triangle table project started in November 2019 in Hangzhou and was completed in August 2020. Throughout the design process, the team faced various challenges, including challenging traditional perceptions of tables and ensuring the compatibility of different modular designs with different spaces and scenes.

Triangle has received recognition for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2023. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate exceptional creativity and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. Triangle's unique design and contribution to improving quality of life make it a deserving recipient of this accolade.
