Care U Most: A Family Medical First Aid Kit

Emotional Design for Enhanced User Experience

Care U Most is a unique family medical first aid kit designed by Yangyang Liao. Inspired by the need for more user-friendly and visually appealing medical products, this innovative kit combines emotional design with interactive features to improve the overall user experience.

The traditional household medical emergency products often lack a human touch and are not visually appealing. In addition, their simple structures and limited functionality make them less safe and effective. Care U Most aims to address these pain points by incorporating emotional design principles and enhancing the user experience through behavioral, taste, visual, and somatosensory interactions.

One of the standout features of Care U Most is its pillow-shaped design, which creates a warm and comforting feeling for users. The round shape and light color further contribute to the overall aesthetic appeal of the kit. By reimagining traditional medical tools such as thermometers and medicine boxes, the design team has successfully created a more user-friendly and visually pleasing product.

The materials used in the production of Care U Most are soft and environmentally friendly, such as PLA, which aligns with the product's design concept. The kit includes various essential items such as a pillow-type first-aid kit, inhalation drug device, different-sized kits, first-aid drugs, scissors, bandages, and more.

The interaction design of Care U Most is intuitive and user-friendly. The products are conveniently placed inside the pillow, allowing users to easily access them when needed. The thermometer, for example, features a unique design where the tail of the product turns red when the user's temperature rises, adding an element of visual interaction and interest.

Another notable feature is the alcohol band aids, which are divided into left and right pieces. The bandage itself serves as a wound patch, while the alcohol disinfection test paper is used to disinfect the wound. The adhesive part of the bandage is made of semi-permeable material, and a vertical long blood immersion strip on the upper side serves as a reminder for users to replace the bandage when necessary.

Care U Most was developed in Beijing from December 2022 to February 2023 and was exhibited in February 2023. The design team conducted extensive research on the current state of medical products, focusing on the lack of visual appeal and user-friendliness. By integrating emotional design principles and interactive features, Care U Most offers a fresh and innovative approach to family first aid.

Yangyang Liao's Care U Most has been recognized for its excellence and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Beauty, Personal Care, and Cosmetic Products Design category in 2023. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills while contributing to improvements in quality of life.
