The inspiration behind Touch Tea was to create a space that encapsulates Tianjin's cultural milieu. The design promotes the continual and inclusive re-connection of people's actual feelings. It brings cubism into architecture and presents it in a contemporary, original style, fostering greater contact and interaction. The open, dispersed area can accommodate various needs of young people, including meeting, sharing, and discussing.
Touch Tea is not just a store; it's a symbol of youth. The TOCOO Doku unique IP image is a potently symbolic and personally expressed statement of youth. It conveys novel and fashionable sensory enjoyment, demonstrating the brand's varied aesthetics and establishing a distinctive space style. It utilizes avant-garde and innovative expression forms to impact infinite vitality, deconstructing and connecting the current artistic trend.
The main materials used in the project are water washed stone, red brick, stainless steel, and KD modified plate. The project covers a total of 300 square meters. The design was realized in Tianjin, with the project starting in August 2022 and finishing in October 2022.
Technology played a significant role in the realization of Touch Tea. Sophisticated intelligent curtain and light control systems monitor everyone's mood as the indoor color temperature subtly shifts over time. A large P2.0 full-color high-brush LED panel and the BOSE surround sound background music work together, creating a great spatial echo.
Touch Tea faced several challenges, including the unpredictability, alienation, and nihility of human relations created by modernity. However, it managed to resolve these conflicts using tea as the medium and architecture as the source of inspiration. The design demonstrates how architectural morphology and urban planning theories are thought about, as well as how new technologies, materials, and thought trends are applied in architecture.
The design of Touch Tea is a testament to the commitment of Touch Design to social responsibility and their constant quest for beauty. It's a clear demonstration of how architectural components can create a distinctive language system that reacts to the changing modes of existence of things with spatial texture. The design encapsulates the anti-structure, anti-boredom, and anti-static attitude of the modern day.
