The design journey embarked upon by Chan and his team involved in-depth research and personal experiences with INGS' product range, leading to a profound appreciation for the brand's dedication to quality and effectiveness.
Striving for environmental consciousness, the design overhaul included a shift to plastic-free logistics boxes, the use of FSC-certified honeycomb paper for cushioning, and the adoption of soy ink for packaging. These materials not only align with the brand's eco-friendly ethos but also enhance the customer's unboxing experience. The meticulous attention to detail is evident in the product specifications, with each item carefully crafted to embody the brand's core values.
The design inspiration stemmed from the metaphor of a bullet penetrating the skin's layers, symbolizing the brand's micro-osmosis 2.0 technology's precision and effectiveness. This concept was brought to life through the use of architectural techniques, resulting in a multidimensional presentation that captures the brand's professional edge. The reimagined logo and packaging, once complex, now boast a refined simplicity that conveys INGS' technological prowess.
One of the significant challenges faced by Chan's team was managing the diverse array of SKUs and ensuring a cohesive color palette that adhered to national skincare standards. The commitment to sustainable development was paramount, influencing every design decision to minimize environmental impact without compromising on luxury and professionalism.
The project, which spanned from June 2021 to December 2022 in Shanghai, not only elevated the brand's image but also translated into tangible success with impressive sales across hundreds of offline stores. The brand's trust in Offesc Design to enhance and preserve its original DNA has been rewarded with a more luxurious and professional presentation that resonates with consumers.
INGS' journey culminated in a significant accolade, the Iron A' Packaging Design Award in 2024, a testament to the brand's harmonious blend of form, function, and sustainable innovation. This recognition underscores the brand's commitment to delivering products that not only care for the skin but also for the planet, setting a new benchmark in the skincare industry.
