The 'Warm Gift' project, completed in December 2022, stands proudly on the 20th floor of a Taiwanese penthouse, encompassing an area of 185.1 square meters. It boasts three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room transformed into an open-plan study, and four bathrooms. Tsao's design navigates the challenges of space and functionality with finesse, ensuring that every square inch serves a purpose. The dressing room, a highlight of the residence, connects two bedrooms and offers a display cabinet for seasonal attire, reflecting the client's lifestyle and maximizing utility.

At the core of Tsao's design philosophy is the seamless marriage of French and wabi-sabi aesthetics. The residence features curves that soften the space, providing a fluid and gentle ambiance. The ceiling, a striking element, is crafted with an oval shape that not only addresses the structural beams but also allows for an upward extension, creating a sense of openness. Linear lights and air conditioning vents are strategically placed to maintain a neat and bright overhead view.

Materials such as mineral paint, slab tiles, and woodwork come together to paint a picture of understated elegance. The choice of a light brown palette, complemented by the texture of mineral paint, sets a soft and sophisticated tone. The herringbone laminate flooring, chosen for its pet-friendly qualities, adds warmth and texture, ensuring that the space is as welcoming for four-legged friends as it is for human inhabitants.

Functionality is at the forefront of the 'Warm Gift' design. Tsao has thoughtfully arranged the layout to cater to the client's needs, from the pet-accommodating semi-height wall in the master bedroom to the double routes in the foyer.
