Shanxing Gao's Pearl River Wenjiang Block B stands as a testament to the transformative power of urban design. This ambitious project introduces the "CAZ" concept, aiming to reshape the spatial and industrial landscape of local neighborhoods in Chengdu, China. The design seeks to extend the business district's functions, fostering a high-quality development that mirrors the city's growth. With an emphasis on green ecology, the project envisions a dynamic, colorful urban form that promises to be an enduring urban classic.
Distinctive in its configuration, Block B features 14 high-rise office towers and a series of commercial pedestrian streets, all interwoven with a multi-layered transportation system. This three-dimensional city approach not only enhances connectivity but also cultivates diverse living experiences. Open blocks, waterfront parks, and art courtyards are strategically designed to foster a healthy, livable environment for various demographics, showcasing the project's commitment to inclusivity and well-being.
From a technological standpoint, the design incorporates a window-wall system with an aluminum frame facade, which, coupled with aerial greening, provides effective shading without contributing to light pollution. This innovative approach underscores the project's dedication to sustainability and urban comfort. The technical specifications are impressive, with a building scale of 644,765 square meters and an area of 109,654 square meters, reflecting the grandeur of the project's vision.
The Pearl River Wenjiang Block B is more than just an architectural feat; it is an interactive urban hub. The design integrates a new business circle that harmoniously combines five-star hotels, grade-A office buildings, and commercial complexes with financial streets and healthy communities. The "1km" Park Square axis, the CAZ walking axis, and the waterfront axis of Jiang'an reach coexist, fostering a vibrant urban core that attracts leisure and social interaction.
Launched in September 2018, the project is set to be completed in 2026. It represents a meticulous design process that incorporates customer feedback, aiming to elevate the image of Wenjiang District. The design targets urban consumer groups, creating a scene-oriented space for quiet experiences and positioning itself as a premier socializing destination in western Chengdu. The challenge was to optimize the urban industrial structure, enhance land value, and energize the area, a feat achieved through diversified and integrated resource settings.
Located in the eastern part of Wenjiang District, Chengdu, Pearl River Wenjiang Block B is poised to become a high-density, high-comfort urban cluster that epitomizes the integration of people, city, and environment. It is a forward-thinking model for park city standards, promoting the symbiosis of industry and career, as well as the integration of ecology and life.
