Revolutionizing Education: Ming Yuan Li's Industrial-Inspired Center

Education Meets Industry in Ming Yuan Li's Award-Winning Design

Discover how Ming Yuan Li's Ntvs Service education center transcends traditional learning environments through innovative design and industry collaboration.

In a bold move away from conventional educational spaces, Ming Yuan Li has unveiled the Ntvs Service, an education center that marries the realms of academia and industry. The center's design eschews the typical classroom aesthetic for a more modern, technology-infused environment. Metal accents and geometric shapes are strategically employed to create an atmosphere that is both contemporary and conducive to industrial learning.

What sets the Ntvs Service apart is its dual function as a cross-disciplinary educational hub and a practical training ground. The collaboration between the school and a prominent car brand provides students with the essential skills and knowledge for their future careers. The center's hands-on approach ensures that students are well-versed in the nuances of industrial operations, priming them for success in the competitive job market.

The design's realization hinges on a mix of materials and lighting techniques. Glass, metal grilles, and wood grain plastic floors come together to form a cohesive and dynamic learning environment. LED lighting, from ceiling downlights to chandeliers, is meticulously integrated to highlight the center's unique architectural features and provide optimal illumination for various activities.

Spanning 230 square meters, the Ntvs Service is thoughtfully divided into distinct zones, each serving a specific purpose. From the hands-on implementation area to the welcoming customer lounge, every space is designed to facilitate learning and industry engagement. The use of non-toxic building materials underscores the center's commitment to environmental sustainability and the well-being of its users.

The design's interaction with users is exemplified in the automobile maintenance area, where the practical aspects of after-sales service are brought to life. The customer service area's canopy, with its metal grille and scattered lighting, exudes a sense of luxury and distinction. Geometric shapes and suspended cabinets with hidden light sources add to the center's modernity, while the diffusion of tiles brings warmth to the space.

Overcoming design challenges, Ming Yuan Li has skillfully incorporated inclined planes and curves to soften the space's hard edges, creating a visually engaging environment. The customer lounge, with its high ceilings and harmonious color palette, offers a serene space for rest and interaction, further enhanced by the strategic use of downlights and track lighting.

Located in New Taipei City and completed in November 2023, the Ntvs Service stands as a testament to Ming Yuan Li's innovative approach to educational design. The project's success is reflected in its recognition at the prestigious A' Design Award, where it clinched the Iron accolade for its practicality, innovation, and alignment with industry standards. This accolade celebrates designs that not only fulfill professional needs but also contribute to a better world through their thoughtful execution.
